Biography 
Debut for club as a junior, initially due to player shortages he progressed early into the 1XI and has been there ever since, bar 2002 when he left for a season to join Swalwell.

Returned in 2003 and took over as 1XI Captain in 2004. Set several team batting records in the Friendly side in 2005 despite playing just 5 matches. His score of 156 against Davipart was the highest score in the Friendly side and was his fifth century (and second of the season). Scored his first League Century against Alnwick in August 2007.

Took the first known hat-trick for the Friendly side bowling off spin against Riding Mill in 2007 and surpassed his own Friendly record score with 169* against Kensington and Chelsea CC in the same Year.

Took over the role of Club Welfare Officer for the 2010 season. Scored his second century for the first eleven at the start of July with 149* away against Ryton, the third highest score for the side and one week after Wayne Ritzema set the record against the same opposition. During the innings Stuart set two further records, becoming the first player to take part in 3 fifty partnerships in the same 1XI game (Paul Higginbottom had 3 in a friendly game in 2009) the 6th wicket partnership of 101* with Jonny Appleby passed the previous record of Andy Morgan and John Gardner by being an undefeated stand.
