Simon Raw |
Biography
Joined club in 1996, father, David Raw played for Whitley Bay. Unable to keep after injury sustained in first game as 2XI wicketkeeper. Work commitments prevent him playing in the league sides until 2008. Started playing for the Midweek side in 2005 and took over as Captain in 2006. Adapted his game successfully in the 2006 season to finish with a Midweek average of 40 and a career best 75* against Percy Main.
During the 2007 season Simon became the ninth player to score 1,000 runs in friendly matches. In his final game of 2007 he claimed his first ever wicket against Blagdon Park. |
