Biography 
James joined club for 2003 season, other commitments restrict appearances, scored 52 on debut and took 5 wickets a couple of weeks later against eventual champions Whickham. In 2006 James became the first player to score a century and take 5 wickets in the same match for the 2XI against Burnopfield, then 2 weeks later scored 102* in the 1XI against Swalwell. In the second game of the 2008 season took part in a club record opening stand of 190 with Brendan Meagher against Burnopfield, scoring his second league century at the same time, making James the first player to record 1XI and 2XI centuries against the same opposition.
