Biography
Chris' involvement at the Club started as scorer in 1988, from 1989 as 1XI scorer, playing occasionally when sides were short. Played very little as a junior because of the strengths of the sides at the time. Finally became established as a member of the 2XI from 1998. In 2001 he was the Northumberland League B2 leading wicket taker with 33 wickets and has twice won the Bowyer Trophy for 2XI performance of the season - once for his batting! Captained the friendly side from 1999-2001 and again since 2005 and has played for and captained the side more than anyone else.
One of two players to bowl a spell of more than five overs in a friendly without conceding a run. During 2005 he researched and rewrote the 1980 Club History to bring it up to date and was awarded the Jameson Trophy. Also created the Club Website in 1999.
Took a hattrick for Newcastle University Staff Vs Bristol on Loughborough University's first class wicket on 25/07/2001 in the 1st over of the innings.
