JUNIOR REGISTRATION AND OPEN EVENING

TUESDAY 1 st APRIL 2008

The cricket club we will be holding a registration and open evening in the dining room at the Leisure Centre on Tuesday 1 st April for all existing and prospective junior members.

If you wish to be a member of the club this year it is important that you attend and bring with you a cheque for £25 made payable to ‘Ponteland Cricket Club’ in respect of the junior subscription for 2008.

The evening will start at 6.30pm and will go on until approximately 8-8.30pm. Your parents are very welcome to come along and indeed we would encourage them to do so. The Northumberland County Development Officer Ian Wardle will also be in attendance on the night and will be making a short presentation

Over the winter we made arrangements with Stuart Surridge to produce a full range of clothing designed specifically for the club. This will be on display at the opening evening and a representative of Stuart Surridge will be on hand to take orders if your parents wish to buy any of the new kit.

As in previous years we will be running four junior sides this year at U18, U15, U13 and U11 age groups. All junior members will be assigned to a squad. The intention is to run training sessions for each squad on a weekly basis as well as playing the arranged matches. In addition we will be running regular Kwik Cricket and coaching sessions for our younger members

Those of you who have been to the ground recently will have noticed that the new nets are at last beginning to take shape and we are confident that they will be in full operation by the start of the season.
