Robert Sowler		Biography  Played for the club as junior, rapidly progressing to the 1XI. Captain of the 1989 U-17 side which won a league and cup double. Scored an unbeaten 139 in the 20 over cup final against Warkworth - the highest ever score in a junior match for Ponteland. Played a pivotal role in the 1XI championship winning side of 1990. Won the league U-21 player of the year award during that 1990 season, taking 53 league wickets in the season, including five 5-wicket matches. Continued playing until leaving University, moving out of the area to work.
