John Kirton |
Biography John first played in 1971 and played until 1982 before emigrating to Australia. Returned at end of the 1985 season and played until end of 2000 season. Captained the Midweek side from 1991-92. Took 5 wickets in the Birkett Cup Final Win against Bomarsund in 1991 and 7-13 against Wallsend the same year, a performance that saw him win the Lawson Rosebowl for the season. John returned to the midweek side playing a single match in each of the 2005 and 06 seasons and re-joined the Committee at the November 2005 AGM, becoming Secretary for the 2007 season. |
