Biography 
Geoff made his debut in 1966, but didn't play in 1981 or 1982. In 1979 Geoff partnered Derek Younger in a 2XI record stand of 166 for the 3rd wicket against Belsay. Career best bowling figures of 8-32 was in 1983 for the 2XI against Bedlington. Had two spells as 2XI Captain from 1989-91 and 1999-2003 where he helped keep the side alive when the Club was struggling for adult members.

Took on the responsibility of preparing the wickets in 2003 and was the main factor in the turn around in the ground conditions, receiving the Jameson Cup for his efforts. During the 2005 season the wicket was widely praised by all opponents and Ponteland were proud to host the A Division League Cup Final. At the November 2004 AGM he was given the official position of Honorary Curator
